If you have yarn to donate, please consider us. We take it all –unloved, previously loved, tangled heaps, tiny remnants, a sweaters'-worth of balls from 1982 – pretty much all. Just email us and we'll come and pick it up.
And we wind it, swift it, skein it, cake it, measure it, weigh it, have a guess at fibre content (sometimes we light a bit on fire!), figure out washing instructions, whisper sweet nothings to it, smell it, give it a name (mauve! dirty pink! dusty rose!) and think of a couple projects it could become.
Anything we don't think we can sell we will donate to the yarn libraries around town.

We are overjoyed to receive yarn in almost any form. Yarn chaos.
We cake it, skein it, measure it and so on. We beautify it and learn all we can about it.
And there it is! Ready to be bought by you for a new project, a new present, a new look, a new pleasure.
What will you make today?
We specialize in rescuing yarn – upcycling it from the back of the cupboard so it doesn't become landfill.
The Knitting Knerds Yarn Rescue concept is similar to an old-fashioned used bookstore. We source our yarn from estate sales, FB marketplace, craigslist, thrift stores, and donations. Accepting donations from the community to recycle the yarn and rehome it, keeping it out of the landfill and bringing it all together in a community yarn space.
